I cant "get off the ledge"
I'm writing from work so i don't remember the name of the level- it's the one that starts ion the blackbird recon jet. i just cleaned out the control tower, disabled the electronic gate system and ran out to the metal walkway that gets blown up by an rpg. i cant figure out what to do next without dying. please help!

What most people do, is sprint towards the other side. if you do that you just fall down the hill and die. when you're at the moment to cross the gap. sprint forward and press the up button.

Basically, after the rpg hits, get up and back up on the walk-way. then press the run button and at the end of the walkway hit the jump button.
look on your control options which will tell you what to press to run and jump.

Dont back up!!! phantom is wrong, if you back up you will fall and die.this took me several deaths to figure out. stand in one place and hold the sprint button. Then run forword and push jump.you dont have much room to run so you have to do it fast, hope this helps :d

You just have to run, jump, then run forward as fast as you can! another thing, don't stop running.

Actually Phantom is right but you can't back up to far or you fall. Basically back up some then sprint and jump on the edge and you should make unless you jumped to early or you didn't sprint
