World 6 - cliff and world 7 - factory

How do you get the 'g' in level 3 - weighty way? its on top of a platform just before the zip line, but i can't figure out how to get to it. Also, how do you get the 'g' in level 5 - cog jog? its inside a moving semi circle covered in grass. i can get to it, but i can't save myself from falling afterwards.

Let the platform go down. Then quickly jump back to the ledge. Then jump on the platform.

Jump on the platform after it moves down a little.
