How do u unlock ellen to make the twin holsters and where can you find rosewood lumber to make it?

Ellen is found in New York, and rosewood lumber can be obtained after you do the last homestead mission for the lumberjacks

All of this is pointless though, unless you have all of the homestead characters, the lumberjacks, doctor, priest, tailor, blacksmith, innkeeper, tailor, hunter, carpenter, farmers, Miner. Only then can your characters begin rising in level, to be able to make the cool special items and best trade items.
Though just a little heads up, the most profitable item of all is not a crafted item, but bear pelts. When sold to St. Augustine by ship they earn 1620 credits each, which at only a 150 a pelt, or free if you go hunt them yourself is immensely profitable. St. Aug has a high wait time, but it carries only a risk of 5% per item. So build your naval convoys as quick as possible, then just keep buying bear skins from the huntress and selling them off. DO NOT TURN THEM INTO RUGS, it will drop the value 500credits. Why? Hell if I know, just don't do it
