Question & Answers
I'm getting warned about too many infestations but none are showing up either on the map or from vantage points? Which is making it hard to deal with, also the general number of zeds have rocketed and there are multiple hordes everywhere have I missed the cause? Or is it just time to move home to nearer the judge and police? If I take on the big warehouse as a new home will it be a nightmare to defend? (Large open loading bay doors? ) or is Johns house or the Alamo better?

The warehouse is easy to defend. just set up 8 outposts with traps around it. make sure to make an outpost behind it as well. same problem with the infestations

This recently got fixed with the update. Now the infestations will only show up within 500 meters of your base. So easy to deal with. Also, now you can get quests for it if there's only 1 around, other wise the vantage point will show you where they all are now. The hordes will always be there and it's always a lot, but as long as you have all your outpost they tend not to be a big problem. The big warehouse is arguably the best place to set up because it has the most spots to build stuff in. If you have a population of over 20 it's the only place that has enough room for all the beds and still gives you a storage area, a full workshop, and a tower, with a couple of spaces left over. Just before you grab it, move your outpost to the buildings around it and it won't be a problem to defend. Just make sure you have your outpost building traps every day.

I have noticed that if you live in spencers mill if there are a ton of infections and you move down in Marshall Lily will still say (to many infestations) even though they are far away from your home base. Also infections have a tendency to form while you are away from a certain area of the map so like if you're in spencers mill do the survey so you can plan for infestions and special infected
