Who is bulbas, and what is he?
I ran in to this creepy guy, along the way from falkreath to whiterun, all i could say was "hello" and no dialog was returned. in his inventory were two peculiar items out of four, those two being "bulbas's fork" and "common taste" (an ingredient). as i left to save my game to see if i could pick pocket him, my system froze.

He's a chef and a fan of the Gourmet, who is a famous chef in skyrim. Balbus trying to impress the Gourmet, so he is collecting rare cooking ingredients in skyrim wilderness. If you do The Dark Brotherhood quests (spoiler:Gourmet is part of one of them) and come back with (another spoiler:) Gourmet's Writ of Passage to the place you first met Balbus, he will give you his fork which is a unique item, ore you can just pickpocket it of him.
