Crazy Taxi first can out on the Sega Dreamcast and was an instant hit. The PS2 version is practically exactly the same. No changes what so ever; just pick up people and take then to their destination, and earn a little money on the way.


The gameplay on Crazy Taxi isn't amazing. All you do for the whole time is drive a taxi, which it doesn't feel like you're driving anyway, around a city earning money. When you drive the taxis it feels as if you are just pointing it in the right direction and not in control at all, but I suppose that is the feel of arcade gaming.


The graphics on Crazy Taxi are pretty standard, nothing awful, nothing great, but that is becuase it was originally an arcade game. It has some very bland textures throughout the game and nothing has great detail.


Sound on Crazy Taxi is actually mediocre. It is quite funny, all the voices in conversation between the passenger and the driver. When a passenger gets angry they will shout at you etc.
But even that gets boring after a while.


The value of Crazy Taxi is impossible to tell becuase it really all depends on what type of games you like. If you like arcade games then by all means, its great but if you don't then I recommend renting it first.


My Final Thoughts on Crazy Taxi is that if you are thinking of buying it, rent it first, because its not as it first seems.
