Athens 2004 for ps2 is a good individual or multiplayer game, as it is fun and actually quite realistic. You get to take part in track & field events, Gymnastics, equestrian, shooting & archery, aquatics and weightlifting.


It is a very challenging game. Especially the 400 metres and 200 metres, (which both you severe repetitive strain).

On the other hand the 800 metres, 1500 metres and 100 metres are perhaps a little too easy.
But all the modes are really fun and enjoyable.
So i give gameplay a deserved 9/10.


The Graphics are great in this game but the thing that let me down was how they didnt seem to have put much effort into varying the player's looks, for example; a USA 100m runner looks exactly the same as a 1500m runner. If it wasnt for that it would get an 8, but i give it a 6.


The Music is very good, to start off with, but after a while it just gets annoying and boring, and the fact that there is only one song on the whole game, is a nightmare. It gets a disappointing 5 from me.


The game is very long because it takes along time to perfect your skills at every event. It supports multiplayer use, which is a great laugh. I feel tha the value makes up for the quite rubbish sound and graphic's scores. It gets an 8/10


overall, i think its a good game but i am sure that Beijing 08 will be much better, if not i wont be happy. Becasue i am a huge athletics fan.
