Left 4 Dead Review

Left 4 Dead is a co-op based first person shooter by Valve which takes place during a zombie apocalypse. You must fight your way through 4 campaigns and make it out safely at the end of each one.


Left 4 Dead is one of the most entertaining games i've played for a long time. It's recommended you play with real people even though the AI is pretty good, it's all about the co-op experience. The game can get pretty challenging, especially at the end of the campaigns when you await a rescue helicopter and you're horded with zombies. It can get pretty hectic with your friends screaming down your ears and zombies trying to kill you and explosions going off. It truly is epic.


The graphics are average Valve graphics as seen in games like half life. The graphics don't differ that much from PC and Xbox 360, but as in most Valve games it's not the graphics that count.


It can get epic at times when hundreds of zombies are coming your way and you hear the sudden screams of the horde. You can even use their sounds to predict when an attack is coming. It's truly magnificent.


Killing thousands of zombie may sound repetetive but the gameplay changes each time you play whether it be where zombies are placed, where zombies horde you or where the ammo is. There are only 4 campaings which you could get through in about 4-6 hours however you could spend 100 hours replaying them as they are so addictive and replayable.


I love this game and highly reccomend it to anyone. It's better that you have an online connection though, but it'll still keep you occupied for a long time. Afterall, I love it and it's been out for at least 7+ months.
