When building your campus, you need to create many rooms. Not only lecture halls and classrooms, but also private spaces such as bathrooms, dormitories and lounges. Since the students and professors also expect a certain level of comfort, you don't just have to build the rooms, you also have to make them attractive .
In general, you should therefore build the rooms larger than the minimum size stipulates. Because otherwise you can often only accommodate one to three objects in the room and thus not create a high room prestige. The room prestige shows the value of the room. The higher the prestige, the more comfortable the students feel.
The prestige increases as soon as you place objects in the room. We therefore recommend that you place every relevant interactive object in the room. Otherwise, you'll sooner or later receive a request through the inbox from students who really want the item. Maybe disguised as personal goals .
In addition, lecturers often ask to raise the prestige of the rooms. From level seven, most people feel comfortable without much complaint. From this level you can start talking about perfect rooms. Since the individual room items are often not enough, you have to consider three other factors:
Attractiveness: A room without plants, pictures, carpets and color is boring. Decorate the room with decorative objects, which also increases the prestige value. You can also change the wall and floor color so the students have to see something other than gray color.
Hygiene: Not every student takes personal hygiene and the environment so seriously. It is therefore important that you also place rubbish bins and disinfectant dispensers in all rooms. It is best to place them everywhere, in the lecture hall, in the kitchen, outdoors and of course also in the toilet.
Room temperature: Depending on the area in which your campus is located, the temperature can also play a role. If it's winter and the students are already freezing to blocks of ice, you should build several radiators. In summer, on the other hand, you need some air conditioning to keep your health up. When building, switch to the thermal view so you can always keep the indoor climate under control.
If you click on the edge of a room, the room overview will open. There you can always follow the three criteria and see where there is still room for improvement.
Save and place rooms as a template
If you save your rooms as a template, you can save a lot of time when building.
Once you've built the perfect room, it would be a shame if it were lost on a new campus. Therefore you have the possibility to save the built rooms as a template and to be able to place them completely on the same or on another campus at any time.
Click on the edge of a room to select it. The room overview then opens on the right. The ninth blue button called "Save/update room templates" must be pressed in order for the "Create template" menu to open.
There you can see a small overview of the size and level as well as the room costs. You can create the name and description for the room template yourself. Once you're done, click the "Create New" button. Since there is only a limited number of templates, you also have the option to overwrite templates .
In order to be able to place the room, you have to go to the room construction menu and click on the sign with the plan and the square at the top left . This will take you to the templates and see all your saved rooms. Click on one and you can place it on campus.
On each campus there are three different groups of staff who are responsible for running your university and who all get salaries and will sooner or later be crying out for further education.
- building superintendent
You need the lecturers so that they teach the students, give them private tuition or to research new objects. Each lecturer usually has a subject that he or she already masters. For example robotics, dark arts, gastronomy or knight sciences.
The assistants are responsible for all areas where you need help. Depending on how big your campus is, you'll need quite a few assistants. They take care of the food and drink stands, the clinic, the common and student rooms, the pastoral care and also the library.
The caretakers keep the building in good condition. At the beginning of the game you will not need many caretakers, since the campuses are still relatively small and the repairs are limited. At the latest from the fourth campus, you have to upgrade here too. Because only the janitors can throw the intruders outside again as security.
Some employees also possess a second trait that enhances personality traits. However, these are more expensive than staff with only one property. If you can't afford it, don't worry: you can simply train your staff later instead.
When and how can staff be trained
In the employee overview you can see the current status of the further training of all employees and you can also start new further training courses there.
From the third campus, Mitton University, you finally have the opportunity to train your employees. A small tutorial will let you place a training room and a research room. This is also bitterly necessary, because campus life is becoming more and more complex.
At the bottom left you see a blue bar, the menu. Here is a pawn head in the middle. There you not only have an overview of your staff and students, but now also of further education. Click on the small board there and you will get to the overview of staff training.
Your entire staff is now recorded here and it is displayed whether the individual employees are willing to undergo further training, whether further training is planned or is in progress. You can train each person, but you can assign a maximum of three different skills to an employee . In addition, all further training costs money (not Kudosh ) and the higher quality it is, the longer it takes and is more expensive.
For each further training you need a free further training machine. So there is no point in sending 11 people on training at the same time if you only have one machine.
The lecturers can learn several courses, tutoring, research or various personality traits. While it sounds convenient for a professor to master multiple majors, it's important to remember that they can't split up to teach.
Therefore, try to train the lecturers in what they can already do. As a result, the teaching is of a higher quality and the students learn faster and better. It also helps you with research and achieving star goals, as certain objects require a high research level.
At the beginning, the caretakers can only repair simple things and pick up garbage. In addition to the security function mentioned above, after developing the mechanics skill, you can also upgrade your existing teaching objects after they have been unlocked with research. This also makes the lesson even better.
You can never have enough assistants and the training of these is only really important for two groups: the first aid training for the clinic and the pastoral care for sad students. The higher these skills are developed, the better they can look after the students and the mood on campus improves again.
Increase salary and keep staff happy
The work is only right if the money is right. So bring the staff the appreciation they deserve.
So that not only the students but also the campus staff are happy, you have to take care of an appropriate payment. So that you don't have to call up each person individually, you can click on the button with the three white columns in the blue bar below. There you will find a statistics button with the campus overview.
Open it and you will get an overview of your students, the staff and the success of the campus. In the "Employee overview" tab you can see how many employees you have, what the mood is like and how satisfied they are with the teaching profession.
If you don't take care of your faculty, they can issue termination warnings. So click on the folder button called "Policies" at the top. There you can see the current demands for an increase in salary and you can accept them directly by clicking on the green tick .
You can also set whether you want to increase the salary of a certain group of people or pay 1% more salary to the entire staff . By the way, you can press this as often as you like, so be careful not to set the salary too high. The desired salary can be adjusted either after further training or at the end of the year.
If you click on your employees individually, you can also increase their salary here. If someone is particularly unhappy and wants to quit, it may be enough to raise that person's salary rather than the whole group's.
Finally, you should make sure to increase the threshold for staff breaks. After all, the employees also need to rest from time to time. Otherwise, they overwork themselves and become dissatisfied.
Kudosh is one of the most important currencies in Two Point Campus, along with money. Because with it you can unlock special objects and thereby increase the mood, love or performance of the students. Since it is a special currency, it is also difficult to obtain and unfortunately farming is not possible here. You have the following options to choose from to get the coins, which we will explain to you in detail below!
- Awards at the end of the year
- Campus Star Rating
- Events and optional destinations
- research laboratory
- career hub
The items you can buy with the Kudosh stay with you permanently. They are therefore unlocked in all universities and you then only have to spend coins to place them. To do this, click on the "chair" symbol at the bottom left and you will discover the Kudosh objects while scrolling down.
By the way, you also have to spend Kudosh for the room renovations like wall and floor paint as well as for the clothes of the university staff. So think carefully about what you want to invest the coins in. In fact, during the Two Point Campus campaign, you will need them to complete certain objectives.
There will be a time when you will be low on kudosh. So use the coins mainly for the necessary research objects to improve the performance of the students.
In the following sections, we explain each of the Kudosh possibilities in more detail and also show you where you can find them.
Get Kudosh through Career Hub
In the career hub you have an overview of all your career goals with which you can earn a lot of Kudosh.
The way you'll get the most Kudosh is through the Career Hub. You can access this via the suitcase symbol at the top right and thus get to the overview. Your career goals are saved there, most of which you complete automatically during the Two Point Campus campaign. There are three levels to achieve:
- Bronze (50 Kudosh as a reward)
- Silver (75 Kudosh as a reward)
- Gold (100 Kudosh as a reward)
You will receive a different number of rewards for each level you complete. These build on each other and accompany you through the entire game. **You can therefore only collect each level once, regardless of whether you change campuses or not. **
These are simple tasks such as "earning money", "filling student dormitories", but also difficult ones such as winning awards at the end of the year. You always have to perform very well, both with the teaching staff and with the students.
Kudosh through awards at the end of the year
As already mentioned, you can find some awards as requirements in the career hub. These will be awarded to you at the end of the academic year in the Annual Awards. There you can see the success of the past year in a small statistic, whether students have dropped out and the awards.
The more you get, the more Kudosh you get on top of the graduation money. Each award is worth 5,000 cash and 10 Kudosh coins.
Unlock new objects through bookworms
In your first campus tutorial, you will meet the bookworms. These are small worms that appear in the ground outside the campus building , only to disappear again after three seconds. The Bookworms will either reward you with money or Kudosh Coins.
Kudosh through events and optional objectives
In the messages, you'll either see requests from students who want your hard-earned kudosh, or requests from examiners to earn you kudosh.
During the course of the academic year, you can view the inquiries and concerns of students, professors and external persons via your inbox on the bottom right . While you have to spend a lot of Kudosh for the students and professors, the external people can fill your Kudosh coffers through events.
Have a hygiene survey done or invite a critic to rate your campus in terms of student satisfaction. Depending on how successfully you complete the optional objective, you will receive between 5 and 15 kudosh.
It's not that much for the moment, but it does add up over the year as you get more requests like this.
Kudosh for items by star rating
Completing the star rating awards you loads of money and kudosh.
For each campus you will see a requirement box in the top right of the screen . There you will find the tasks that you have to fulfill for one, two or three stars. The more stars you have, the higher quality your campus is and the more rewards you unlock. Since they are your main objectives, you cannot overlook them either. Of course, you will always be rewarded with money and kudosh.
Unlock new items through Research Lab
In the research hub, you can not only unlock new objects through the projects, but also earn money and Kudosh.
After you have mastered the first two universities, you will reach "Mitton University". This is the third campus, where you will again receive a tutorial. The Tutorial of Continuing Education . Not only is this handy because you can continue to train your staff, but also because you now have access to the Training Room and Research Lab .
You can place the research hub in the research laboratory and start different research projects there . Not only can they bring you upgrades for your devices, but also lots of money and kudosh.
Some projects require a specific leader and have a fairly long timeframe (around 300 days). So always compare the projects before you start one.
