How to make successful dino fusion?

All of my tier 0 dinos can't match a successful fusion, what is the tip? can I fuse dinos without using any crystals?

I just melt 2 teen mammouth and had a brontornis. Sometimes it works, sometime not.

Are you paying attention to dino age? The higher the lvl of the dinos your fusing the better your chance of success

I found that although you can fuse dinosaurs after level 4, I found that if I wait until level 7, I fuse everytime.

Wait untill level 10 it is the best level to fuse

It doesn't make sense to level your dinos beyond level 4. Its expensive and unneccessary. I just keep fusing the dinos together until it works. Sometimes it works on the first try sometimes it takes more, but it has never taken more than 3 tries for any combination of dino for me.

I agree with TomeL. 3 tries at the most. Also, depending on level of one of your dinos you'll get higher tier dino of same environment. For example, mammoth (6) + ankylosaurus (4) = next level dino living in same habitat as mammoth (snow). Good luck!
