Question & Answers

What happened to the pirates?

Hi, the last update introduced pirates and I realized that without having a more powerful ship, I would have to keep repairing my present two ships. So I put in a sustained effort of tapping until I had raised 700,000 coins to purchase the most powerful battleship that did not require rubies. Well, halfway through the building of that ship, the Silver Shark pirate disappeared and the quest for pirate John with the black plague also disappeared. My new and mighty ship was able to dispose of the four lesser pirates without taking damage, but since the quest requires 25 to be beaten, I'm waiting to see if any more will show up. None so far. Was it a mistake to toil for more than a day of nonstop tapping for coins to get the most powerful ship and then to find that the pirate quests have disappeared? What's up with that? By now, you can tell that I'm trying to play the game without having to spend any real money. Is that a problem?

Same happened to me. The moment I bought the battleship, the barrage of pirates stopped. Took days to get more, but they eventually trickle in. I think I probably get a pirate ship or two every 3-4 days on average. Usually after a long period of being away from the game, like overnight. Stuck on the quest to get the 25 pirates, though...I'm sure I've won against any more than that. I'm starting to think they somehow don't count the ones we attack with the nice battleship.

I completed the 25 pirates quest though I had to keep repairing my ships. It takes longer than you think it would, after a while I kind of didn't pay attention to it. Then one day I got a note saying I completed it.
