Question & Answers

Unrealistic matchups

How are challenge matchups determined? Example I entered with a 628 rated Audi and was given a list of tier 5 640's or better. A little unrealistic don't ya think?

Yes, it's totally unrealistic. You have to remember that this game is not designed to be fun to play, it's designed to extract money from you. So to get you hooked into winning, it gives you some easy ways to win. And it makes it harder all the way to impossible unless you spend money. The top-of-the-line car that can be purchased with in-game cash has, when fully maxed out, a PP of 701, but the top-of-the-line car in the game, which costs US$50, has a PP of 707. And even if you spend 50 bucks on the 707 you then are playing against other people who spent more money on engine tuneup and tire upgrade and nitrous upgrade, which can only be purchased with gold (i.e. real money) and only for a limited number of races.

I think that you can actually win over them, even if they have higher pp, at least if they're challenging and not hard. The difficulity is made of the drivers skills, so if they have higher pp but still not "hard" they're probably just bad drivers. ( I have at least won over cars with higher pp than my car)

But I agree, for example, if you win your first streak, and then start another your opponents will be much harder. As Photoniq wrote, they want to make money so the races gets harder and harder because they want you to buy their gold (For real money) and with that hire for example pro tuners and that stuff. The only way to be "safe" in multiplayer is to have a really good car(that you know how to drive) and the whole race-team. The car must be fully upgraded off course!
