Question & Answers

Genetics? I need to know!

So the person I adopted had brown hair, and her husband had black hair, they had three kids with brown reddish hair. The middle child with more brown Hair took over the next generation, he married a blond and they had a brunette. No other kids but now she is the adult she married someone with brown hair, there first kid, strawberry blonde, second, curly red hair, and youngest, dark blonde. I just had twin boys and they also have strawberry blonde hair. So are there genetics? Thanks - bumble

Hi, Bumble! Unfortunately, no, there are no genetics. These must just be coincidences. Every look, name and more is randomly programmed. You can very well have parents with both black hair and end up with blonde-haired children. It would make the game more realistic, though, right? I hope Virtual Families 3 has that feature! Hope I helped! See you through the screen!

I don't think there is any genetics to the game. My kids all have different hair colors than their parents too!

I'm not sure about this one, I've been playing for about 3 years now and I never really seem to notice a trend in hair color lol. One time I had both parents with black hair, but their daughter had bright rainbow hair. So I guess the simple answer is no. It would be cool if they added that in V.Families 3 though. HIH!

Hi I started playing a couple weeks ago. I think it is just random, because i have a dad with blonde hair and a mom with gray hair and i have two kids with blonde hair and one with brown hair (I have an adopted one also so 4 kids).

Well, I think genetics do factor in a little bit wit the natural hair colors but as far as like the blues and purples those are dyes. Genetics do not exist in a high functioning level for the game. Hih.

There are totally genetics. Every kid I've had in VF2 looks like parents.

Wilson, there are no genetics in VF2 but there will be in VF3. It would just be a coincidence that they looked they same.
