Question & Answers

Sandy is getting out of hand-y?

My virtual people are a big family: Franina (31, I call her Fran), Paulozo( 32, I call him Paul), Bingor and Yodo (12, I call them Ben and Yo) Electra (7, I call her Ellie) and Sandretta (3, I call her Sandy.) Sandy is adopted. She is always doing naughty things like switching the light on and off, tearing books, jumping on the bed, throwing rocks, etc. no matter how much I scold her, she still does this. And now she's depressed since I've scolded her too much. She also never eats when mom calls the children to eat. What to do!

Try sending her to boarding school then she should be out of your way at least.

My family also has an adopted child like Sandy. Ping would do all the things you described. I only scolded him a few times, but decided to try diverting his attention to good behaviors instead. If he jumped on the bed I'd make him take out the trash or set him to play with toys. If he did what I "asked" I'd praise him with the green hand or candy. If he would come to the table when called to eat I'd move him there myself. It seemed to work for me because now he's 10 and spends a lot of his time reading books or listening to the sounds of nature. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone! This helped a lot now she is 14 now and she has changed a lot since then! She even does her chores like taking the trash out. Unfortunately she has a deadly illness so I will go cope with that. Byeeee!
