Sending Kid to Boarding School

If I have a 6yr girl, can I send her to boarding school early (goto profile > upgrade > send to boarding school), does that mean my girl will have a better career when she is older because she goes to school early? Please answer!

Most likely. Just keep in mind that if you send her to boarding school you may never get her back.

Yes, but you have a slight chance of losing her for the next generation. who knows she might be a builder to get free rooms!

There are pros and cons about it, like; if you send he/she you may not get them back for the new generation, but if you send them and get them back there is a really good chance they'll get a good job when you start the next generation

I agree with hailey. I had a mom as an Architect and a dad as a Lawyer and the child I sent to Boarding School became a ParaLegal. so it kinda does depend on what the parents did during their life.

Well if you do send your kid to boarding school, they will probably get a better job when they are older, but they might never come back and you may never see them again

@Bluemonkey: You mean my kid might not come back. Can I do something about that?

On the game there was a mother named Jamilaya (lawyer) and a father named Kel (recruiter) they had 2 kids (both boys) Ferro and Dink. I sent Ferro to boarding school when he was 7 (Dink was 2). But I didn't send Dink. Ferro became a (Spelling Tutor) and Dink became a (Furniture Salesman). So I don't really know if it depends on if they go to a boarding school or just what jobs their parents have?

You will only get your kid back if you select it for the next generation. If you do not send your kid to boarding school, it will still leave for college at the age of 18. The parents of you household will inevitably become empty-nesters and die in their 60's. Once the mother or father has passed away, (you do not have to wait for both to die) you will be directed to choose one of the children, now adults with careers, to come back and start the new generation. You will never again see the parents or the children you did not select. As for the pros and cons of boarding school, I haven't noticed any link to the parents' careers, and I haven't noticed that they get better jobs. I'm on my 5th generation, and I'm still trying to figure out the benefits of boarding school.
