Question & Answers

Can wolves get thru fences, shrubs, or buildings?

I just started this game yesterday and was wondering if wolves can get thru fences? Also To save money I used a building as part of my fence and also a pond and shrub. Can wolves get thru these? Thanks!:)

I've never tried to use a building in a fence before, but I imagine it doesn't end well. For me, the wolf came almost immediately after I put up my fence, and made a lot of my sheep sick. If I were you, I'd have a gun ready when he comes, though he will go away after a while.

It doesn't get thru the fences but it can reach a bit past the fence to bite a sheep. Try to keep them in the middle of the fence. I put bales of hay right inside the fence to act as a buffer. I have only seen the wolf once and it took around 5 gun shots or so to make it run away. Select the gun, then click on the wolf. When it shows a small balloon next to it and it's got a black squiggle line inside it (like in the comics when someone is frustrated or mad), then it won't bite anymore. I got one wolf pelt for it. Good luck!

Oh, forgot to mention. I've used buildings, a tree, roses, pumpkins and bushes to '"close" the fences and the wolf didn't get thru. He ran right up to the pumpkins and couldn't get the nearby sheep.

The best way to keep out the wolf is to use fences and outside of the fence to put bushes , flower or pumpkins it will keep the wolf out and make your farm look pretty. Also like how Marmalade said , using a shot gun is a good idea if you get a wolf pelt you can sell it for some good money.I wouldn't suggest ponds but if you store sheep in buildings the wolf can't get your sheep.
