No room to put Gurgle's Hideout

I just upped to Level 30. I have no space to grow one more plant, but they are telling me to build Gurgle's Hideout. If they'd provide an expansion when they want us to build, then okay. But no expansion came. I am wondering if the Game Programmers actually play their own game so they can see the lack of logic in some of their missions. . I need Algae, yet time after time the treasure xhest is full of Sand Dollars. Does the game not track our needs& tailor the chests to them? Surs seems not. . Sorry to vent, but I wish the Programmers were more savy to how the game gets played. Specially since many of the gamers are our children or grandchildren, who are too young for much patience.

Flutellama, I looked at your reef. Your next expansion is not until 33. I see you found room for Gurgle. I would advise you get rid of all but one each fan coral and green bush. Replace as you can with eggshell and psyco coral. These will give you a lot of xp and algae for leveling up. As you level up, the xp requirements become horrendous. Move everything as close together as you can to make more room. Don't worry about how your reef looks at this time, you can fix it the way you want way down the line. 33 is going to be your last expansion, so try to plan ahead, because you wiil have to have room for planting seed and completing tasks.

Flutellama, also, the treasure chests, just open the free ones.

Thank you, Susie. Actually, i opted to do lots of Fan Corals b/c they are ready quickly. I was sick for over a month & didn't feel well enough to do much else than Nemo. So, those quick-return plants really netted me high amounts of Algae in a short time. Now that I'm better & back to more real life, I will plop in as many of the Cat's Paws as I can save ip Pearls to get them.

Susie, I'm curious why you say to open just the FREE treasure chests. I have a bunch of gold Sand dollars, So I don't really mind buying the treasure chests with those. I just don't use pearls. I'm curious if you know something that I don't know When you say to open only the free ones.

Because at first I was paying to open those two and a few times I received more than I put into it, but then it turned into everytime I paid to open them, I was receiving far less than I paid. That is why I quit paying for them. Since I am finished and just collecting now, it does not matter, but the farther you go in this game the more sds and algae you need.

And why don't the treasure chest awards not accumulate. I do check the number of SDs and algae and they don't change. Missing out in thousands!

Elaine, do you have so many that they're not showing every single dollar/algae? Instead you only see the thousands? I am in that boat, and I think it's registering, but when I only receive a few hundred algae from a treasure, it doesn't show unless I am close to the next thousand.

BSheer, yes, I have so many they are not showing up every award which makes it very difficult to verify you are getting the hundreds ESP from a freebee. They did say to me, and I quote them, 'the items you win are credited to your account before you close the reward screen, so when you close the screen you will not see any change to the Sand Dollars, Algae or Pearl counts because they've already been added the minute the reward screen appears.' Make any sense? But have since noticed a shuffling around with SDs and algae that does reflect a difference between SDs spent and either SDs or algae awarded, if you follow. As for visits to Friends, no way of checking that one!
