I caught a flame dragon at level 99?

So here the problem I am on chapter one and I done some serious grinding I got all three girls to level 99 I have been doing the monster arena cup matches and now I wanted to do the aeon cup so I thought I would capture a flame dragon from besaid and when i caught it the dragon was level 99 well my question is that because it is max level can I still get it to transform into ifrit because it's level won't go up as I stated previously that I caught the flame dragon at level 99

I think you are able to get Ifrit. Use that Dragon as ur Team and win some cups. It should get Monsterbonus.

No, not on your current playthrough, unless it wins the final cup (forgot it's name, has Trema and Major Numeros in it) Each cup has a level cap for the Fiend Tale Bonus, at level 90+ only the final cup can give you a fiend tale bonus upon completion. However, if you keep the Flame Dragon on your team until the end of Chapter 5 and start a new game plus, it will be level 1 in the following playthrough. Just get it up to level 6 (I believe) in the next playthrough and you will unlock Ifrit. Just remember that once you unlock an Aeon, it stays unlocked in future playthroughs. Note: I found a glitch that allows you to NG+ at any point in the game. Save you game, then pause and hit Triangle to return to the main menu. Not sure if this works during your first playthrough, but I use it a lot for testing abilities and such in the Fiend Arena Hope it helps! ~Elucifer
