Theatre unlocked then locked?

I surpassed 10k followers and received the notification and I also unlocked the theatre then the game auto saved. now that I am playing the following day it says I only have 10k followers when I have 21k :( and the theatre is locked again! I'm not too sure what to do?! HELP
