Why did it move?

I was exploring wario snow course and then nine mins after exploring the kart was moving and the driver ( yoshi ) was acting like I have finished is it a glitch ( please help this was happening ever since I started time trails on it )

You can NOT have a time go beyond 10 minutes in Time Trials. (I myself let it idle at the start line and it happened. It's not a glitch.)
