Hints for rocket firing

The best way to shoot enemy planes is not to attack head on. I always stay to the right just out of their gun range and as they are about to pass by I quickly turn toward them and fire a rocket. An easy kill!

I wait for the planes to have just come into view and fire all of them. That's how I beat Berlin.

Rockets don't have the long range of guns, do they? In dogfighting I've downed some planes at long range, soon after they first appear and before they maneuver. Surely a rocket can't be used the same way?

Another help is to fire rockets when you find three of four opponents are roughly "lined up" together for a second or two, as they circle you or make a firing pass. A good chance for several kills in one moment.

Can rockets be used against ground targets? If so, are there campaigns where this is useful?

After you have used rockets for awhile you will be able to shoot planes down from long range. Rockets are harder to use for shooting ground targets you have to actually hit the ground target. Shooting at planes you only have to be close.
