So by now we know that the vampire and werewolfs skill trees are unlocked by feeding in beast or vamp form but do you unlock them with perk points like other skill trees or do you gain a sepret set of points by feeding?

From what i understand vampires and werewolves can only improve their perks via feeding and getting special points that way.

Everytime you feed as Werewolf or Vampire a certain amount of times a perk will be gained. I believe you also have to do the certain skills in the perk tree to get further perks as well. The developers did this so that even high leveled or maxed out characters can get the benefits as well.

When you feed as a werewolf you gain progress on a point after a certain feedings you unlock a perk for the tree. And For vampire lords killing enemies with the drain life spell in the form will unlock perk progress. Oh and also if the enemies health is low and your in melee mode on the ground you have a chance to bit their neck thus gaining progress. This only works on human type npc's like the ones you can pick to be as in the begining....

You can get 10 free Vampire Perk Points by using the Command (if I remember correctly) set DLC1VampirePerkPoints to 10. also works for werwolf perk points. help "points" 0 will show you how it has to be written.

I have just gotten the Dawnguard expansion for ps3 today and became a vampire and you do not need perk points for them. Thang God because I was level 81 when I bought Dawnguard
